Ronald Reagan Day is a day of recognition that occurs every February 6, starting in 2011, in the state of California for Ronald Reagan, who was that state’s Governor from 1967–1975 and President of the United States from 1981–1989.
Ronald Reagan Day has also been declared a state holiday in Wisconsin. For the 100th anniversary of Reagan’s birthday in 2011, governors in 21 states issued proclamations designating February 6 Ronald Reagan Day.
Reagan was an American politician who is the only Governor of California to have ever been elected President of the United States, when he won the presidency in 1980.

Letter to the Editor From My Son
Margaret Meece is running for District Clerk in the upcoming election. I would like to take a moment to share with you who she is, both to me as my mother and to you as an elected official.
My mother is one of the most inspirational rocks in my life. From early on she always pushed me. She taught me to set goals and how to fight to achieve them. I was never alone; she was always someone I could share any problem I had with. Margaret was also really good at knowing when she needed to help me and whether she needed to get involved in it herself or provide me the encouragement or support to succeed. Whether it was a problem with school, a mistake I had made (and I made some pretty good ones in my time) or something I wanted, needed to achieve, Margaret was always there.
